Privacy notice

This is an early privacy notice for DEV1 and small-audience testing. It is intended to be clear and accurate, but it is not a final lawyer-reviewed policy for broad public launch.

What phrasis.study does

phrasis.study helps you generate phrase sheets for real language situations. You may choose to enter personal or work-related context, so please avoid including sensitive personal details unless they are truly necessary.

Information the app may process

Topic or learning context you type into the phrase-sheet generator.
Generated phrase sheets, including phrases, notes, and recall-practice items.
Language settings such as source language, target language, and level.
Account information if you log in, such as email address and, for Google login, basic Google profile data.
Optional feedback comments you submit.
Cookies used for anonymous sheets, login, and DEV access-code entry.

AI generation

The app sends your topic or learning context to the configured AI provider to generate a phrase sheet. API keys are kept on the server and are not exposed in the browser.

Anonymous use and login

You can generate and study sheets without logging in. Anonymous sheets are linked to a browser cookie on your device. If you log in, you can choose to import sheets generated anonymously on that same device.

Feedback

Feedback is optional. Feedback may be linked to a sheet so Phrasis can improve quality. Anonymous feedback uses a server-side hashed reference instead of storing the raw anonymous cookie value in the feedback table.

Admin review

During DEV1, the admin can review feedback and linked sheets through a protected feedback inbox. Feedback exports avoid raw anonymous IDs, cookies, session IDs, full learning context, and full generated sheet JSON.

Retention and deletion

By default, anonymous sheets that are not imported to an account are automatically deleted after 30 days. User accounts and their saved sheets are retained until you request deletion. Feedback is retained for 90 days for quality assurance before being permanently anonymised or deleted.

You can request a copy of your data or complete account deletion manually by email.
